Help with Kindreday
Set up your family
Start on your own phone or computer. You can add a shared tablet after your household is ready.
1. Create your parent account
Open Kindreday and choose Sign in as a parent. First time here? Choose Sign up on the sign-in page and verify your email. Use your own email address. This is a Kindreday account, separate from a Signal Forward work account.
2. Join or create a household
If another adult has already set up your family, choose Join my family and enter their household invitation code. Otherwise choose Set up a new household, give it a name, check your timezone, and choose a private parent PIN. Children do not need an email address or sign-in account.
A pilot or friends discount code is different from a household invitation. Apply that code in Manage → Subscription after joining or creating your household. If you accidentally created a second household, contact support before adding more information.
3. Add children and a first chore
Use the setup checklist on Today, or open Manage → Routines → Children. A first name or nickname is enough. Add a small number of chores to start, then review the allowance and savings settings. The dashboard tracks allowance; it does not hold money or transfer funds to a bank.
Check the effective date shown in Manage. Recurring chore and allowance changes start the following Monday when weekly planning is enabled. Use a dated one-off task for something that needs to start sooner. A child's checkmark records completion; actions requiring parent approval remain pending until a parent reviews them.
4. Connect calendars and invite adults
In Manage → Calendars, choose an adult and a calendar provider. The calendar owner signs in and grants read-only access. Titles are shown by default; turn them off to show busy blocks. A source marked stale is showing its last saved information, so check the original calendar for recent changes.
Calendars are optional during setup. You can also add multiple subscribed calendars for schools, sports teams, clubs, holidays, or other schedules. Give each one a name and paste its ICS or webcal subscription link in Manage → Calendars → Add a subscribed calendar. Use a subscription link from the publisher, not the address of a calendar webpage. Each feed has its own title setting; you can rename or remove it later. Subscription links stay private, and the events are shared with your household. To replace a link, remove that subscription and add it again.
In Manage → People & devices → Members, create a household invitation and share its code privately with the adult. They sign up with their own email and choose Join my family. A connected calendar does not automatically give its owner a parent sign-in.
5. Pair a shared display
On your own signed-in device, open Manage → People & devices → Pair a device. Give the display a recognizable name and generate a code. On the tablet, open Kindreday and enter that pairing code. The tablet stays paired without keeping your parent account signed in.
Keep the PIN private. Use it to open parent settings when needed, then lock Manage again. You can revoke a lost or unused device from your own parent account. Check the screen's sleep and browser settings if you want it to remain visible throughout the day.
Choose the right view for your device
Use Personal device for a phone or computer and Wall display for a shared tablet. On a wall display, open Settings in the header to change display mode or appearance, re-pair the display, or open Help. On phones, Today, Chores, and Money are in the bottom navigation; More opens Week, Reports, Meals, and Manage.
Children can choose their name in Chores or Money to focus the view. Choosing a name does not sign in as that person or unlock parent actions. Reports show available spending separately from savings, investments, and money saved for goals. Each earnings chart includes a table of exact amounts.
Voice, sound, and accessibility
The optional assistant requires a browser that supports speech recognition and microphone permission. You can always use the app's buttons and forms instead. Voice does not verify who is speaking, so parent-only actions still require the parent controls. Ask for a calendar read and a change in separate requests.
Chore sounds can be turned off in Chores. Celebrations respect your device's reduced-motion setting. If sound is blocked, interact with the page once and check your device volume and browser permissions.
Cancel or request a refund
For paid subscriptions, open Manage → Subscription → Manage billing to cancel renewal. Access continues through your paid period. Request a first-payment refund within 14 days at support@kindreday.com. Read the payment terms for refund eligibility and deletion details.
Get help
Kindreday is operated by Signal Forward LLC. Contact support@kindreday.com for setup, billing, access, export, or deletion help. Describe the problem, your browser or device, and the approximate time. Do not email passwords, PINs, invitation codes, authorization tokens, or private calendar details.
Parents can export household data and manage connections in Manage. The privacy notice describes stored information, optional integrations, and retention limits.
Using an existing wall display
Already paired at the previous Family Dashboard address? You can keep using that address. To use app.kindreday.com on a new browser or device, sign in as a parent or pair the display again. Pairing is specific to each browser and website address.
Connect ChatGPT or Claude
Parents can connect a supported ChatGPT or Claude account through Connect your assistant. Kindreday is not yet listed in either assistant directory; use a custom connection until a listing is published.
This connection is for adults managing a household. Your assistant account and plan must support custom remote MCP connections. Text workflows are supported; voice tool availability depends on the assistant and is not promised.
- Sign in as a parent in Kindreday. Open Manage → People & devices → Connect your assistant and copy the server URL. A paired display or PIN unlock cannot approve a connection.
- In ChatGPT, add a custom MCP connection in developer mode and choose OAuth. In Claude, use Customize → Connectors → Add custom connector. Labels can change; use your assistant’s current instructions. Do not paste a device key or legacy service key.
- On the Kindreday consent page, check the household, assistant return address, and permissions. The client supplies its name; verify the return address too. Approve only the permissions you want.
- Return to your assistant and ask: “Use Kindreday to tell me what household setup remains.”
Default permissions allow setup progress, household name and timezone, child profiles, today’s routine titles, status and listed values, meals, and routine templates. The assistant can propose a child or optional unpaid routine. In Kindreday, open Manage → People & devices → Setup proposals, review the exact change, and apply it. Proposals expire after 24 hours. Ask the same assistant connection to refresh the proposal status before requesting a dependent change.
Optional meal and routine permissions allow direct meal updates, chore logging, and optional unpaid task assignment. These do not use the separate setup-proposal approval step. The scoped connection does not expose calendar event contents, allowance transaction history, billing, membership administration, or home-equipment controls.
Disconnect from Connect your assistant in Manage. Connections expire after 30 days. If an old consent window says to start again, close it and reconnect from the assistant’s settings. Disconnecting stops new requests but does not erase the assistant’s existing conversation history.
External requests use your ChatGPT or Claude service and limits, not your Kindreday hosted AI allowance. Household access and request limits still apply. Read the external-assistant privacy disclosures before connecting.
