Service and payment terms

These terms describe use of the service and the subscription, cancellation, and refund choices available to your household.
Using Kindreday
Kindreday is a household organization service managed by adults. Parents are responsible for the information they enter, invitations and permissions they grant, and use of shared devices. Keep account credentials and parent PINs private. Only connect calendars and other services you are authorized to use. Do not attempt to access another household, bypass access or usage controls, or use the service unlawfully.
Kindreday supports household routines and records; it is not an emergency monitoring service. Calendar information can be delayed or served from a saved copy during an outage. Check the original source for time-critical events. AI suggestions can be incomplete or incorrect. Review a proposed change before approving it.
External assistants
Connecting ChatGPT or Claude requires your own account with that provider and a plan that supports the connection. Its terms and usage limits apply separately. You choose the permissions granted to Kindreday tools and can disconnect them in Manage. Default setup proposals require separate parent approval in Kindreday; optional meal and routine permissions allow the direct actions explained on the consent screen. External assistant requests do not spend the hosted Kindreday AI allowance. The connector does not sell subscriptions or handle payments inside the assistant.
Features and integrations can change or become unavailable, including when an external provider changes its service. Contact support for access problems. Your household information is handled as described in the privacy notice.
Plans and free trials
Every household starts on the Free plan, which includes the shared display and phone views, chores, allowance records, goals, meals, weather, two connected calendar accounts, one subscribed calendar feed, and connections to your own ChatGPT or Claude account. Kindreday Plus adds the built-in voice and typed assistant, spoken replies, extra AI credit purchases, unlimited calendar accounts and feeds, and home integrations. Plus features and limits can change; we will describe changes in the app before they affect your household.
One Plus subscription covers one household and its paired devices. Standard pricing is $39 per year or $4.99 per month, in USD. Eligible friends households can select the $24 annual plan. Checkout shows the selected price, any applicable taxes, and payment timing before you authorize payment.
The standard Plus trial lasts 30 days without a payment method. Invited pilots receive 90 days. A free trial by itself never authorizes a charge. Starting a paid subscription requires a signed-in parent's separate choice in Checkout. If you subscribe before your trial ends, Checkout shows when the first payment will occur. When a trial or subscription ends, the household continues on the Free plan with its records intact; calendar sources above the Free limits keep working, and additional sources require Plus.
Automatic renewal and cancellation
Paid subscriptions renew automatically at the selected interval until canceled. Sign in as a parent and open Manage → Subscription → Manage billing to cancel renewal online. Complete the cancellation in Stripe's portal and check the confirmation and access end date. Contact support@kindreday.com if you cannot access cancellation.
Cancellation stops future renewal. Your household keeps Plus through the current paid period and then continues on the Free plan. Cancel before the next scheduled payment to avoid that renewal. Cancellation alone does not issue a refund or prorated credit for unused time.
First-payment refund
Request a full refund of your first subscription payment within 14 days after that payment by emailing support@kindreday.com from your billing address. Include the billing email or invoice reference, but never card details, passwords, PINs, or calendar information. This applies to monthly, annual, and eligible friends plans, once per household. Returning after cancellation does not restart the refund window.
An approved first-payment refund ends the paid subscription and future renewals. Plus access ends when the refund and cancellation are processed and the household continues on the Free plan; any remaining free-trial access is unchanged. Refunds return to the original payment method, and bank processing time can vary.
Renewal payments and later payments are nonrefundable except for billing errors or where required by law. Contact us about duplicate or incorrect charges. These terms do not limit rights that cannot be waived under applicable law.
Friends eligibility and price changes
Friends eligibility remains attached to the same household after cancellation. It does not guarantee that the dollar price will never change. We will notify you before a price change affects a renewal, and you can cancel before it takes effect.
Extra AI usage
A signed-in parent can buy 200 AI credits for a one-time $5 USD payment. Credit packs do not renew automatically and never authorize automatic refills or overage charges. Friends discounts apply to subscriptions only. Checkout shows the total before payment.
Included monthly usage is consumed before purchased credits. Purchased credits do not expire. They remain attached to the purchasing household after subscription cancellation; active trial, subscription, or complimentary access is required to use them. Credits cannot be transferred to another household, redeemed for cash, or used for third-party purchases. They apply only to Kindreday's hosted AI features, not to your own ChatGPT or Claude account.
Credits measure AI usage, not a guaranteed number of messages. Longer conversations, requested actions, and speech can consume different amounts. One credit currently represents $0.01 of estimated model and speech provider usage; the purchase price also covers processing and service costs. We may change prices for future purchases with clear notice before checkout. If we change how usage is measured, we will preserve the remaining usage value of previously purchased credits. Temporary safety, capacity, or service limits can still pause AI use.
Request a refund of an entirely unused pack within 14 days of purchase by emailing support@kindreday.com from your billing address. Include the payment reference, never card details. Used packs are nonrefundable except for billing errors or where required by law. Approved refunds return to the original payment method and remove the corresponding credits. Payment disputes or reversals can place purchased usage on hold. These terms do not limit rights that cannot be waived under applicable law.
Contact support before deleting a household with purchased credits. Cancellation, deletion, and refunds are separate requests. If we permanently discontinue the purchased AI service, we will offer a refund of unused purchased usage.
Records and deletion
Canceling does not delete household records. After Plus ends, the household continues on the Free plan, and parents can still export records, disconnect calendars, manage billing, and request deletion. Export anything you want to keep before deletion. Self-service deletion requires the subscription to have ended; contact support for immediate deletion while a subscription is still active or scheduled to end. Deletion and refunds are separate requests. The privacy notice explains retained backups and operational records.
Allowance and savings records are a household tracking tool. Kindreday does not hold money for children or move money between family members.
Payment processing and help
Stripe processes subscription and extra-AI payments and hosts Checkout and the billing portal. Signal Forward LLC is your service provider. See our privacy notice and support page, or contact support@kindreday.com.
